Prescriptions
We require the veterinary surgeons permission on all repeat prescriptions. Therefore we request 24 hours notice on all repeat prescriptions.
Pets on long term medication will also require 3 or 6 monthly health checks depending on the medication that your pet is on.
This is to comply with the current Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons legislation.
You may also obtain Prescription Only Medicines, Category V, (POM-Vs) from your veterinary surgeon OR ask for a prescription and obtain these medicines from another veterinary surgeon or a pharmacy.
The general policy of this practice is to re-assess an animal requiring repeat prescriptions every 3-6 months, but this may vary with individual circumstances. The standard charge for a re-examination is £10.51
Please note, a prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is an in-patient or immediate treatment is necessary.
All medicine, prescription and procedure prices are available on request.
